TuneAI Health – Privacy Policy

TuneAI Health (“TuneAI”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a chat-first wellness companion that helps you understand, experiment with, and improve your biology. We believe your health data should stay on your device unless you explicitly decide to share it. This policy explains what data we access, why, and the limited situations in which it ever leaves your phone.

1 · Data we access on device

• Apple Health Kit (only if you grant permission) – steps, distance, heart-rate, HRV, sleep, workouts, nutrition and other metrics.
• Manual logs – workouts, supplements, meals (photo or text), free-form notes.
• Lab results – when you import a PDF or CSV we extract numerical biomarkers and discard the original file; names and identifiers are not stored.
• Settings data – language preference, theme, toggles for each data source.
• Chat history and memories – all chat conversations and any derived memories are stored directly on your device.

2 · Where your data is stored

• All raw and derived data are kept in an encrypted SQLite database on your device.
• We do not copy or back-up that database to our servers or third-party clouds.
• You are in control of backups (iCloud, iTunes, Finder, or manual export in Settings → Data Control).

3 · When data can leave your device

When you ask a question in the chat, TuneAI assembles only the minimum set of numeric or textual facts needed to answer (e.g. “average HRV last 30 days = 72 ms”). These snippets are sent ephemerally to our inference endpoint, which uses OpenAI API (USA) and Gemini API (USA) as processors. OpenAI and Google (for Gemini) do not train on, log, or store these snippets.

4 · What we never do

• No advertising or tracking SDKs.
• No sale or rental of any data.
• No identifying health data stored on our servers.

5 · Your controls

• Revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in the iOS Health app.
• Export or wipe all local data via Settings → Data Control.
• After you delete data it is removed immediately; we never had a server copy.

6 · Children

TuneAI is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

7 · Changes

Material changes will be announced in-app and on this page.
